In the light of current global COVID-19 crisis, the Scandinavian Journal of Public Health invites submission of papers for a special issue on the COVID-19 situation in the Nordic Countries and beyond. A broad type of papers that shed light on public health issues related to the COVID-19 situation, in particular Nordic comparative studies, are welcomed. The topic of the special issue includes, but is not limited to, negative (and unintended positive) consequences of the COVID-19 crisis for public health through epidemiological, behavioral, social and economic pathways as well as COVID-19-related study designs, preventative efforts, risk communication, socioeconomic and ethnic inequalities, health system responses, and methodological and ethical dilemmas. Commentaries and short communications are also welcomed.

However, due to the urgent need of this kind of research, all papers will be published online immediately upon acceptance.
