On Thursday 29 April 2021, 13h-14h CET, we will organize our next burden-eu webinar, focussing on the activities and achievements of the Italian GBD Initiative.
The Italian Global Burden of Disease Initiative was established in 2016 with an aim to strengthen the exchange with IHME and gain ownership on the Italian estimates. Since then, the consortium has grown exponentially, currently comprising more than 70 collaborators from more than 20 research institutes, and has made significant achievements, most notably the generation of sub-national burden estimates for Italy. The Initiative is therefore one of the best examples of a national burden of disease network. During the webinar, the current status and recent achievements of the Italian GBD Initiative will be presented.
