Burden of disease of noise – Internoise 2022

The Internoise 2022 congress is scheduled to take place physically in Glasgow, Scotland during August 21–24 at the Scottish Event Campus. There are a range of topical sessions about noise effects on health to which abstracts can be submitted. The World Health Organization have an ongoing project on the assessment of disability weights for noise effects. Dr. Mark Brink (Swiss Federal Office for the Environment) and Dr. Juanita Haagsma (Erasmus MC, Rotterdam) have extended an invitation to the wider burden of disease research community to submit an abstract for the Burden of disease of noise (session number 17.2).

This session includes environmental and health impact assessment studies with a focus on noise, environmental justice studies about noise, as well as research into DALYs and disability weights of noise-induced health effects, and their application.

Abstracts submission started on 1 December and will last till 4 February 2022.
